Stop worrying. It most likely is a cyst. Your doctor if your are concerned enough will probably get an ultrasound of the area. And Friday is okay. If it is really upsetting up, see the doctor sooner. I know how it is to have something occupy your mind like this. We all have a tendency to think the worst but in reality its probably nothing. If seeing the doctor earlier will reassure you then see the doc earlier. No need to loose sleep over it.

I think you need to try to calm down. No one on here can tell you what it is for sure. That is why you have the appointment. As far as the appointment being soon enough, it has already been a month. Another week shouldn't make that big of a deal. Besides that, when you called to get the appointment, you should have told them why you wanted to be see and that it has been there for a while and it's not going away. If they think you should be seen sooner, they would have gotten you in. If you are really worried, call then back and tell them that you really want to get in sooner and see if they can work you in. The only thing they can say is no.

The rest of the questions you asked are things you need to hold off on until you see the Dr. and they find out what it is. Then, you can ask the Dr. those questions.

Good luck
