Tell him to have some respect for you. You are his wife not a thing to be poked at. Is the cracks showing in your marriage?Does he want you to walk first so he does not have to take responsibility? Tell him to grow up or pack up. You deserve better

Obviously, you have been trying to tell him what you would like, but he doesn't call you by your name yet...
I think he does this for the same reason why he can't explain to you, why he does this in the first place. He's maybe really bad at verbal communication. There are other forms of communication, e.g., by gestures, or touches. It might be possible, that he is not good at talking to someone he loves. From what you write I understand that he's doing this for 2 years. But not before?
Maybe a little game will help you and him. I don't know whether this is your style, but here it goes:
Take a puppet, a small teddy bear, anything cute like this. Next time he tries to get your attention, make the teddy bear talk to him (with a cute voice). Let him say something like: ' oh look, (fill in your name here). He does it again. He's porking your finger in you! Can't he say your name?' blablabla. Make a little game out of this. The thing is that you talk with the teddy, the teddy talks to you, and teddy is also allowed to talk to him. But don't react to him talking to you :-)
The point is that he maybe can actually talk easier to the teddy bear. It's like a stepping stone for you two.
However, this will only work, if you really enjoy such things. If you are angry with him, or upset, don't do this teddy bear thing. He only will feel rejected or hurt, because you don't seem to take him serious.

Ask him. If this is something that he's started doing recently, there must be a reason for it. It could be that he's feeling like he doesn't need to make the effort anymore after you've been together for so long. If that's the case, then you need to sit down and talk to him about this and how it makes you feel. You wouldn't stand for it from a friend, so why put up with it from your partner?

Well, you can point it out to him and if that does not work, you can start by calling him his first name or calling him sweetheart or honey. Sooner or later, he'd do the same for you. If it still does not work, do what he does to you. Do not call him by his first name, just poke him as well. Let's see if he still will not see what you find offending.

I take it you've addressed this issue with him?.... Look, its weird, ok.. no-one's arguing with you. My ex wouldn't talk to me for three weeks once because I said something in my sleep that upset him ( I still don't know what), so I know weird.
But if you love him then just try to accept this as a little oddity in his nature. He's not really doing anything wrong, he's just WEIRD. Try to live with it hon

Maybe it is the way he was raised ,sometimes children cannot get the parents attention and they use this means as a way to get the parents to listen to them if this really bothers you let him know and he will probably change the habit.

Just let him know, that you hate it. Then try doing it to him, or when he starts off the sentence pretend that you dont hear him and he'll then address you for sure

Grab his finger and tell him don't ever point or poke you with his finger again. If he cannot address you by name or by a pet name, don't bother at all.

Better you start calling his name when he is not calling you by your name, you address him by his name, As there are no Religious
social or legal restrictions on it
