hi...
i've had the xperiance like u... i know what it feels like... this is the advise one of my frnds had given.... never think of past mistakes...they cant be changed... each day is a new day.. so whenever u feel sad think of something nice that had happened or just try to divert ur mind from ur melencholy.. maybe surfing the net or chatting would help... or else jus do ur fav thing or if u like reading read ur fav book.. believe me it works....
keep smiling.

go out and make friends. seek solace in your family. forget the past just learn from it and don't repeat the mistakes that you made. if you are jobless get a job. you will meet new people there. think about your happy experiences. keep a pet preferably a nice dog. they are the best companions who give unconditional love. try to be happy at all times. if things from the past haunt you drive them away by going for a walk. enjoy nature. think of creative ways to pass your time. join a club. take up a hobby. there are many things you can do to be happy but real happiness will only come if you make an effort and if you really want to be happy.
all the best. take care and god bless.

I think you need to be happy for yourself. You need to take care of yourself and do the things that please and make you happy and not count on others to decide if you are happy or sad. If you are just trying to please others, they may see you as happy because they're getting what they want. But you are sad inside, because you're giving them what they want, but not giving yourself what you want and need. It's one of the hardest things in the world to know yourself and like yourself enough to consider what you want and need first. But it will make you feel much happier inside if you can.

Plenty of things >start some kind of activities such as swimming (it's the summer time so that would be fun), bowling, invite freinds over on friday's or saturday's and have a movie party (action\drama) anything that keep your company alive something entertaining and if you don't have many friends start going to the Gym, it's always plenty of motivation people there, ooh! and please be careful how you meet people . Also going to the movies is a good way to meet people . Good Luck!!!!!!!!Honey

Agree with above answer, exercise is good for mind and body. If you do not want to or can't, then
(1) Try not to think of the past.
(2) Be content with what you have.
(3) Say: it could be worse.
(4) See people with handicaps (hope you are not) you will say "thank God it's not me"

Have you tried counseling??? It might be worth a try. You don't have to feel happy all the time, like you're in a state of euphoria!!! You do want a happy medium, though. Life does have its ups and downs though. Have a good day, and put a smile on your face, you will get through it all!!!

you said that you feel sad when you bring up things from the past and mistakes you have made, well when you reflect dont focus on the negatives, they're just part of life and you've gotten through it so you shouldn't feel too bad about whatever it is...also dont regret whatever you did because its not like you can go back and change it...

Exercise. Exercise reduces seratonin in the brain which can help you feel less unhappy.
