do the jealous celt countrys realise they are admitting how crap they are by calling England rubbish. their best was not good enough to get them out to Germany, while Englands worst gets us to the quarter finals !!!!! ( its so frustrating being English LOL )

England must up their game if they are going to progress any further. They failed to beat the only half decent team they have played in the finals so far and the games are only going to get harder. They do have the players to mount a serious challenge for the trophy but they seem content to do just enough to scrape through every time. Basically most of the team believe they have a God given right to be there and if they lose they have already lined up their many excuses - the weather, there are no easy games in world football anymore, the referee, luck etc, etc. As for Beckham I think if I had taken every free kick for the last 3 years I might just have been able to get one on target. It was the English commentators that were saying he should be substituted just before he scored. Oh and by the way I am a Scot with 3 English flags flying outside my house. We do not believe the world owes us anything and don't ever really expect to win the world cup. But you bet your mortgage that if we had the talent England have got we would use it. And we would run ourselves into the ground for our country. As a Scot I would crawl on my hands and knees from Lands End to john o Grots to represent my country. English footballers - most of them not all - give the impression that they couldn't give a monkees. For all Englands talent they have under achieved for the last forty years and I think YOU know that. As a Scot - with an English wife and children - I can sit back and take an objective view of the England performances. So stop calling the Scots. Open your eyes and get real.

When it comes to sports in the United Kingdom things tend to be very Bias to English favour and reputation. For example, when the athletics are or... When an English person wins a medal, it's all "Go on England, English athletes, blah blah blah. When a Scottish person wins a Medal they are referred to as British.. Are the English not counted as British either??.... So don't come on here rambling on about the Celts up the road. You owe much more to these people than your arrogance will let you believe..
And in the first place... why are there separate teams??... our country's name is The UNITED Kingdom.....

Just because England are in the quarter finals doesn't mean they have been playing well - it's the luck of the draw. Mexico were playing better football than England but are now back home because they were drawn against the best team in the competition so far, Argentina.

Im an Aussie so don't think 4 1 sec that im with you but here in AUS, an Aussie Rules team was branded "boring" by the head of the league!!! now this team (sydney swans) went on to win the Grand Final. Don't feel bad about it because what goes around comes arround!!!
Can't wait to flog the English in the Ashes!!!! see u in December!!!

I am English, and I've been incredibly disappointed in England so far during this world cup. They've been playing terribly! Fortunately for them their opponents have been playing worse. England didn't deserve to win yesterday, but then again Equador didn't either and somebody had to. Sheer luck that it was England.

England ARE boring!! Im English, but did you watch the way we played against Ecuador? Of course we won, because we are good, but that doesnt mean we are exciting.
I now live in Australia, they play better football, but are not as skillful as England.
