Kobe is the best player right now in the NBA, but Lebron James and Dwayne Wade are on the come up and could be on Kobe's level very, very soon. But Dirk is a very good player but you cant rate his game to theirs because he plays different rolls in a game than them. After watching Wade carry his team to the finals you have to put Wade in the top of the NBA, and when they got there he had one of the best performances. Dwayne and LeBron still have many more years in the NBA and will be on Kobe's level but don't have that threat that Kobe brings to the game. But in the NBA Kobe is the best player, even though Lebron plays more stonger than his I would rather give Kobe the because he has more experience. Kobe scores at will as we all say in this 2005-2006 season averaging 35 points a game, and when he gets his team involved no one can stop the Lakers.

Who is better right now? Dirk Nowitzki. The only person who can stop Dirk is Dirk. No one in the NBA can cover him. But there are several people in the NBA that can cover Kobe, James, and Wade. There's Bruce Bowen, Ron Artest, Tayshaun Prince, and several others that can guard those guys. But you have to use your whole team to guard Dirk.

Look at the Spurs. They are always one of the best defensive teams in the NBA year in and year out. How did they guard Dirk? They used Michael Finley, Bruce Bowen, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, Nick Van Exel, Tony Parker, and Robert Horry. And 2 of those guys made the all defensive team this past year (Bowen on the 1st team and Duncan on the 2nd).

Dwayne Wade? Overated. Kobe Bryant? Selfish. (I love how in game 7 against Phoenix he didn't want any of the blame to go on him so he never took a shot even though he's their best offensive weapon). LeBron James? He's got the potential to be the best of the group but I wouldn't put him there just yet.

But I wonder where T-Mac and Duncan fit in this group. They were banged up a lot last year so not much was talked about them. But we all know when they are healthy they are MVP caliber players.

better? my all-time favorite among the players you just mentioned is LeBron James and i'm not going to choose him, that would look biased right? not only that, for now, i think Dwyane Wade's on top of the world. everyone says he has Shaq on his back but admit it or not, he's the main reason why the Heat went all the way to the Finals and won it this year.

Kobe Bryant is a good player, he's the best scorer in the NBA today and no one can stop him from making his trademark fadeaway jumpers. but, he's not the all-around player i hoped he would be. the all-around players are LeBron James (of course) and Dwyane Wade as both these players can rebound the ball, dish for an assist, steal, and score all night long. if Kobe didn't mess his relationship with Shaq up, he would have been the one holding both the Larry O'Brien trophy and the finals MVP trophy right now.

Dirk on the other hand is one of the best big men in the league. i mean, come on, he's taller than just 7 feet and he can shoot the ball from anywhere on the court. that's amazing but he just wasn't that great in the finals. in the first few rounds of the playoffs, yes, but during the finals? i guess he choked, but i like him.

Right now? i would have to go for Dwyane Wade but next year, i bet LeBron's gonna improve yet again, and capture the season MVP trophy. hehe. ;)

Kobe. Just watch the games. You'll agree. Someone said several players in the NBA can guard Kobe. What trash. Oh and no one can guard Dirk? Ever heard of some people by the name of Andrei Kirilinko, Lamar Odom, and Udonis Haslem?

Kobe, none of them play defense the way he does. He was first team defense three times already. All of them can score but Kobe is an assassin on the court ( except for game 7 against Phoenix).

Kobe, 3 titles, better scorer than the other three, WAYYYYYYYYYY better defender than the other three, and will go down as a top three player of all time, maybe lebron will too, but still, Kobe, by far, right now at least
