I like your question :-)

"If I were able to travel throught time" and had to stay on Earth-planet, I would definitely travel in the future.

While typewriting these words, I realise that I don't feel interests in Earth-past, and that I am optimistic about our humankind's future (otherwise, I would not even wish to travel in the future);

I also realise that I would only live in the present if I were able to travel through time and to be on another hypothetical planet whose main intelligent civilisation would be peaceful and "very evolved".

So, I feel I would only enjoy travel in time if I had no other choice than living such an experience on Earth-planet...

To the past. For if I was able to travel back through time, in going back, so could I amend the past to more gainfully have provided for the future.

I would like to go in the past, because there are some mistakes in the past that I have done, and if I could have the chance to go back in the past, I think that those mistakes would be erased and the present and future for me would be better, because I am really suffering from those mistakes now and I regret from time to time because of them, but what to do, life is going on and I have to forget about the past and the mistakes in it.

I'd probably go sit in at the Globe Theater, then wait backstage for Mr. Shakespear, or go back to Ancient Egypt at the height of all its glory, or travel the Roman Empire before it fell apart, or go back and experience Woodstock to the fullest, hang out at a speakeasy in Chicago during the roaring '20's, see if Helen of Troy was really that pretty.

To the future.Many scientists haved postulated that travelling to the past is impossible.That is because anything in space deteriorates.Scientists claim that when you can speed up the deterioration process and go to the future.But u cant reverse the deterioraton process.

I travelled in the past taking it as the present and live at present as its nostalgic moment and hope to travel in future seeking happiness present by paying all taxes due at present!

I would go to the past. There are tons of cool things that happened in the past that would be awesom to see actually happen. The future is too unsure, you'd have no idea what you'd be walking in on.

I'd be too scared to go anywhere. I'd be afraid to screw something up in the past that would have dire consequences on the present, and I'd be afraid to see the future because I might try to do something to change it and screw that up, too. I read/watch too much sci-fi to want to mess with the timeline.
