This may sound kinda petty and bitchy, especially from a guy... But 1 thing which will always piss off an ex, is when you look even better than you did, when you was with them... Try changing your hairstyle or the way you dress....
Damn it does sound bitchy, i ain't gay or even bi... But i have 5 sisters and i'm da baby of the family....

Pack everything up that even remotely has to do with him,and bring it to goodwill, give it to the friend of yours who he despises,or his best friends g/f.Change the locks, phone # and e-mail addy.
Make a list of why you and he are not together.
Smile at doing all those things.
Now it is time to focus on yourself.Join a gym,buy a few new clothes, indulge in a new hairstyle and makeover.Pedicures are also nice.
Pick up some relaxing bubble bath, and a good wine.
Try a new cd of your favorite Artist.
Kick back relax and enjoy being free to indulge and just focus on yourself.
When you get to missing him remember why you are not together by reading that list you made when you finished getting rid of any reminders of him, and remember odds are against him ever changing.
Pick up the phone and call a good friend ,and keep in contact with the people who matter.

Talk to your friends. Cut all contact with the ex and read 'It's called a break up because it's broken' by Greg Behrendt and Amiira Ruotola-Behrendt. I'm not a huge self help book fan but that is a good one, my pals pass it round when ever needed. It helps you realise it wasn't all that and helps you move on. Have some fun, start to enjoy being single again. It will get better I promise.

Get into the gym and channel that bad energy into some thing positive. It's a proven fact that working out releases endorphins in the body. This natural chemical inside our bodies make us naturally feel positive about ourselves. Soon you will forget all about whats his/her name. And you'll be buff besides. What better way to get back at them. Do try it. Works like a charm bracelet.

clear out all the stuff he gave me, pack away all the letter and photos and then burn them, or bin them. Then I usually book a hair cut and colour, a massage and buy some new clothes, then I watch lots of sad films, drink wine, eat chocolate and then go out and party with the my little brother. Give yourself time, it's a cliche but time is a great healer.

Go hangout with my friends and party down with them. That always helped me. Friends usually kept me too busy from thinking about the person.
