neyo and chris brown look like they are just missing their dress and wig...to make matters worst, Aaliyah just decided she would die and along with her went Brandy....Monica...Mya and all the other plastic bags that was making so much noise in the 90's...but that noise was a heck of a lot better than whats going on now!!! All of the music sounds alike, and then they expect you to buy the crap....I would do indie, but most indies don't even take time out to properly promote their stuff, so when I visit sites like cdbaby...i have to "press point" to get through the junk and most times i find nothing!!! Somthings got to give or else the music industry will crash and burn sooner rather than later...and all the "legal" download sites in the world isn't going to stop it either!!!

With all that said...where has all the GOOD music gone???

I agree. That's why I listen to the older music on the radio. Every once in a while I'll hear something new that catches my ear.

Most of the CDs I buy are at different weekend outdoor music festivals. I don't buy a lot of CDs at the Mall - not much in there I'm interested in.

It is hidden in a bar near you. I have found a lot of good music going to festivals or bars. Of course I live in a town with a lively music scene. There is a lot of good music out there, you just have to be willing to look for it. It's not that the indie artists don't want to take the time to promote themselves, a lot of them can't afford it. Keep trying...good luck.

Until people stop buying the crap that is currently out there it is unlikely they will begin to produce decent music again. I vote an economic boycot of the music industry until they make something worth buying.

All the GOOD music stayed in the 80s, and some in the 90s.
Now, all you get is rap filled with violence, profanity, and sex. I can't even listen to the radio with my kids around!

Furthermore, the so-called "artists" of today dress like criminals (the males) or whores (the females), acting as terrible role models for kids.

And can any of them sing? Many of them can't. They can rap, but not sing. Granted that rapping takes talent, sure -- but I want MUSIC, please! How about a tune?!

(Ok, I feel a bit better now. Thanks.)

i so hear you.....i am so sick and tired of listening to songs that tell me they going down on me...that i should be a stripper ....they wanta taste me....us women are all bithes and hoes.... they got money...bling,bling....tongue rings, tattoos.... they all say the same stuff. they gonna shoot ya ..been shot...own the hood..... they have no class at all....they wear what they make dollar wise on their necks, and wrist. yes some is good to dance to and other than that the words are nothing. can't watch a video without seeing a naked ***...MTV is the worst. i don't, and, haven't bought a cd in years...theres $20.00 for a CD with one good song on it. i see people dressing like the girls in the videos and they look slutty. i used to play my radio all day...but it's like R rated ...you gotta be 18 just to listen....hopefully later it will just be sound and thats fine with me....

The good music left, as Don Maclean said, when the music died.
