You have the equation 18/30 = y/5. Look at the left side. You can reduce it to 3/5 = y/5 from which you an see that y = 5.

With the second equation, you can do the same thing. On the left side, multiply top and bottom by 5 so that you have65/75 = 65/x and so x must be 75.

Easy:
18/30=y/5
then, 18*5=30*y
90=30y
y=90/30=3

All you have to do is multiply in a cross.

13/15=65/x
then you multiply the numerator from the first fraction by the denominator of the second and the denominator of the first by the numerator of the second.
you get:
15*65=13*x
975=13x
x=975/13
x=325

If a/b=c/d then a=b*c/d, b=a*d/c, c=a*d/b, d=c*b/a

18/30=y/5
y=5*18/30=3

13/15=65/x
x*13/15=65
x=65*15/13=75

12/y=3/7
12=y*3/7
12*7/3=y=28
