It is physically impossible to have any physical changes in your body more than a few days before your period *would* have been (or about 8 days after ovulation, 8-13 days after sex).

Especially if you have irregular cycles, I would strongly suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will help you determine when you are fertile, no matter how irregular you are.

I had an "irregular period" and was nausated most of the time so I went to the doctor after while just to make sure something wasn't totally wrong, my mom said that I was pregnant but I canceled that out because I was still having what I thought was a period. Turns out it was a hemerage. I was 2 months pregnant and threatening a miscarrige so I slowed down, changed jobs b/c my last job had me standing up for longperiods of time without a break that's bad on a baby. Now I'm going to have a healthy baby on Oct. 31st.
My advice is go see a dotor just to be safe. The doctor told me if I wasn't pregnant that also can be caused but a hormonal imbalance so you never know.
