Gosh, I don't know. All the ones I kept thinking of came out before 2000, like the first Matrix (1999) or Titanic (1997).
Hmmm. I actually liked "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" with George Clooney. I'm an African American female, so you would think I wasn't the target market, but I thought it was funny, witty, and very orginial. I was also surprised that I actually liked the music. I watch it every time it is on tv, and I just got the DVD for Mother's Day, LOL.
I loved "The Notebook". The critics were so-so with it because they thought it was sappy, but it was very good sappy and a tear jerker.
Both of the X-Men Movies (1 and 2) were great. 3...not so much.
All of the Harry Potter Movies (don't know when they started making them) were good. 2, 3, 4 were best.
I wasn't into Lord of the Rings. Too convoluted, and I've read the books (also too convoluted).
Spiderman 2 was really good.
"Crash" was extremely good. Very different and thought provoking. I don't know why people kept saying it was a safe movie to vote for, but I guess compared to "Brokeback Mountain" (which I haven't seen yet), racist attitudes and issues probably did seem safe. How funny is that?
That's all I can think of this early in the morning.
