Ó pirolito, I think Portugal could beat England and certainly reach the semi-finals IF they had both Deco and Cristiano Ronaldo. Without these two it will be a monumental task, but still achievable.
As for winning the Cup, no, I don't think so.

No, Portugal is not the equal of Brazil, Ghana, Argentina, Spain, England or Italy. In addition, Portugal is the least deserving team in the tournament. The crap they pulled during group play was despicable and today it got worse.
Portugal is the most cynical and unethical team in the World Cup competition. Today if you take all the Portuguese dives and phony efforts together they would probably have totalled 17-18 minutes of wasted clock time (if you don't believe me, find a recorded version of the Netherlands - Portugal game and see how much actual play took place after the 55th minute). The Netherlands played badly but Portugal's shenanigans made a mockery of the sport.
Only six minutes of additional time after minute 90:00 was granted by the sicko referee. The modern FIFA notion of never actually stopping the clock has been abused by many teams but no one has made as sick a contribution to that dubious practice as the lads from Lisboa.

rajjutt, you're totally wrong, in fact Mr Valentin the lousy referee made all he could to have Netherlands win - e.g. the brutal injury on Cristiano that should've had a red card - e.g. in 4 Netherlands matches before with mR Valentin refereeing they never lost a single one - e.g. the whole lotta fouls commited by the Orange that were totally ignored by Mr Valentin - e.g. offsides against Pauleta that weren't really offsides - e.g. a Dutch knocking Petit to the ground without motive, which wasn't sanctioned by Valentin - e.g. Mr Blatt's own statements at the end of the match supporting the Portuguese - etc etc etc. I don't know if Portugal reaches the finals but I tell you the Orange were brutal, childish crap, the English don't stand a chance against Portugal's B team, and Portugall will play Brazil.
See, it all follows a scheme, the Dutch being a neighboring country of Germany would guarantee full stadia on next games. Logic to be favoring the Dutch, huh? But in the end the Truth won.
And you rajjputt have just shown you have no idea of what you're talking about.
