First off,viruses can be sent through any file type and nothing is 100% safe all the time. I personaly use Ares for music,movies,and game d/l's and have been using it for 2 yrs with no probs.Make sure ur using a good antiv and running spyware progs on a regular basis.

first i'll forewarn you that it's illegal...you'll need to use a peer to peer (p2p) program such as bearshare ( bearshare.com ), limewire ( limewire.com ), or kazaa lite ( kazaa.com )...i would advise you to just not risk getting caught and heavily fined by getting unlimited downloads from yahoo music for $5 a month..if u just want to listen on ur comp go to napster.com and find ur song (u can't download it though)

lime wire is good as long as u ONLY download MUSIC ull get viruses with anything else, they cant be sent through music files

try limewire. or if not limewire because it can slow down your computer. use bittorent. or kazaa.
