I don't know about Iranian life but two things are sure about Montreal:
1- If you are muslim, yes we do have mosques.
2- You will have to learn french. There are only a few neighbourhoods where you can survive only with english.

I can't tell you about Iranian life there, but having spent some time there, one will find a great many ethnic neighborhoods.
A visitor can travel for miles from one neighborhood to another along a single street, (forgot the name), and feel like one is in a different foreign country, the language, food, dress etc.
I'm sure you will find your countrymen there.
By the way, I love your food. Have a great Iranian restaurant in Houston, Texas.

I'm sorry but I don't know. Since I'm sure you already speak French, as many Muslims do, you will be fine with that aspect. I've seen a variety of nationalities when visiting Canada. Be sure of your decision to move and good luck.
