Map can be folded and can be easily carried.
Globe is like a map pasted on a ball. Globe is useful for learning rotation of earth, how eclipses happen etc. In short globe is very useful in a classroom as an educational model. A map having only two dimensions, is very convenient for carrying. A globe is useful for understanding geographical facts which we can not physically observe. But for all practical purposes map is best suitable.I mean nobody will use globe for finding.
