My scar was itchy and numb for about 1.5 years. Don't worry it will go away soon. Congratulations on your nine month old.

Believe it or not, the itching is an answer to the numbness. The nerves are regrowing into the incision area. It takes sometimes 1-2 years for nerves to regrow where sensation was lost due to surgery or accident. I haven't had a c-section, but I did have surgery where nerve damage was done. The numb area was itchy like crazy, but I recognized that this was a good thing even though it drove me nuts.

I really don't know what is normal but I had two C sections 11 months apart. It itches and my right pelvic area is numb. I am assuming the itching is healing.

There is no reason why your mark should itch and feel numb after 9 months of the surgery. By this time your skin should feel healed. You should visit your doc and tell him/her.
