Yeah Swans are feisty birds are`nt they.......I took one out last night for (what I thought to be) a romantic dinner for two, with good wine and good conversation.....all was going well until we got back to my place........I put my arm around her shoulder whilest we were pecking......and my hand inadvertently touched her Breast.......with that she got into a Flap, so violent was her reaction of the Flap that it broke my arm....hurt like hell. Neddless to say she Flew from my nest and left behind a feather..... now if you find a Swan with a missing Feather.....for Gods sake dont get involved.......learn from my mistake.........

Well I guess it would depend on how the person was attacked...swans are pretty big, if the person was running and got knocked over or some other form of trauma from the attack. A small child could easily receive a fracture from a swan or even a goose. If we are talking adult the fingers are easy prey but for a larger bone...that person could have another issue than just the swan bite...Some diseases can make the bones really brittle. Something like an attack from a small but determined animal could do a lot of damage that wouldn't normally be so damaging to the average adult...This person could have something they haven't been diagnosed with yet, or maybe just not disclosed it to every one they meet.

You question is a little too vague. Are we talking about the Australian black swan or the Mute (white) swan?

For argument's sake let's combine all available data on swan-induced breakages. The talus, navicular, intermediate cuneiform, lateral cuneiform, metatarsal, proximal phalanges, sacral vertebrae, ilium, ischium, pubis, malleus, incus and stapes, hyoid and scapula? Yes.

Arm? No, never.
