i have yahoo messenger with Bt but there are no inications to show that i can enter the chat anywhere on the site

go 2 yahoo.com and download the american version of yahoo messenger, it is the only 1 with access 2 the chatrooms, the UK edition of Yahoo Messenger doesn't (Dont ask me why) :-)

u need 2 go into ppls profiles & click on communicater icon u should try havin urs so ppl can contact u 2

you have to download messenger and log into it seperatly from the yahoo site.
