Here are some good websites about food, health, nutrition, etc:
http://www.drweil.com/u/Home/index.html
http://www.whfoods.com/
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/vegetarian-diet/HQ01596
http://www.patrickholford.com/content.asp?id_Content=1045
http://www.helpguide.org/mental/anxiety_types_symptoms_treatment.htm
http://wholefoodsmarket.com/

Some on vegetarian diet (you can find more about that on the Whole Foods site) and anxiety in there too. I would research more any of the relaxation remedies recommended on sites, particularly Kava Kava, St. Johns Wort, and Passion Flower. I know these can cause problems, particularly the first two. I take 100-250 mgs of GABA for anxiety that just won't go away.

Eating organic food is always a good (though more expensive) choice if you are worried about chemicals, pesticides, etc that you are getting in foods. If you have no health problems then a varied vegetarian diet is wonderful for most people. I still take molecularly distilled, heavy metal free fish oil supplements and flax oil supplements as well. It is vital to get enough essential fatty acids. One of those websites is for Dr. Andrew Weil's site. I seriously recommend reading what he has to say. He has many books out and has helped lots of people with medical advice included my mother and myself. He is widely considered knowledgeable and reputable. You have to be careful who you take advice from, I tend to research thorougly before making new health decisions. Good luck and work on the anxiety. It can be so miserable. I know, I deal with it as well in the form of generalized anxiety and often over specific issues as well. Information is power and empowering yourself can help greatly to reduce stress.

Many blessings to you!:):)
