just curious, if saddam was found guilty and was sentanced to death, what form of execution would they use? what is common over there.

Capital punishment was recentlyreinstated and applies to those convicted of murder, distribution of drugs and endangering national security, The manner of execution is by hanging. See Article 12 of Iraqi Law #10.

Hanging is used for all crimes. Saddam had his own law (I think he thought he was god) he used to shoot the people who rise against him. He thought that was a crime.....saying no to him was a crime....LOL.
As for the new government, no one has risen against them so far, people are busy not getting blown away by car explosions in streets everyday. You see this is a good way of taking peoples minds of thinking how bad is the government.

first of all, all crimes are not punished by death.
if indeed an execution is ordered, by an islamic court, it would generally be stoning to death. but i'm not sure if its the only way to an execution.
