Are there any spiders living in the Arctic or Antearctic?

Just want to resolve a sqabble my bloke and I've been having.....

Yes and no.

There are spiders. They live amongst the humans that settled there. If you mean indigenous? No, a spider needs insects and it is just too cold up/down there.
