just try and believe in yourself...i do not have a lot of self -confidence myself.. but i know who i am.. i am just different than a lot of people in this world...but be happy with who you are and do the best you can... do not be a quitter and you will see how far you can go..really work on yourself and you can accomplish much i believe...you are just as good as anyone out there and proabably better than some... just be happy, kind, and try to do the right thing with your life.. and be proud of who you are...i have lived with a abusive man and that is not good.. stay away from things like that.. cause they will make you feel less of yourself by their faults....do not let anyone lower your self-esteem... demand that you be done fair in all you can..do not listen to negativity about you.. if it is true then you can judge for yourself and try to straighten it out yourself...

Hey Luc.....my grandma used to always tell me this saying!
(I'm a cartoonist and she'd hire me to make posters for people with this self-confidence and loving saying)

I'm Loved
I'm Special
and
I'm Important
Write that on something......when you start gettin' down on yourself or others bring you down....
Raise you head up high and read those 3 sentences.

Stop being afraid of looking or sounding "silly" or inadequate. Just be honest, and respect yourself for it. Someone will always tell you what they think you need to know - and you can then make up your own mind about it. That's how we learn. Anyone afraid of seeming foolish will never grow wise; anyone afraid of betraying their ignorance will never learn. It's like learning to ride a bike, or a horse, or skiing, or being in love - you have to be willing to fall off.

Remember your past, how you started walking, how you learned riding bicycle, how you started driving your car ........ etc
To solve any problem you have to face the problem, to gain confidence in a specific situation face that situation again and again.

it can take a while to come out of the shell. baby steps are the secret. start by making small changes in your life. take up a new hobby or something. trust your own judgements, learn from your mistakes, and slowly you'll start to believe in yourself.
woh! i'm starting to sound like a horoscope or something now...... : )
