Go and see a lawyer.

Do you have any proof of what has been said? If you do not, it will be a very difficult, if not impossible, case to prove. Do you know who has been doing the talking?

when you say you have been threatened, what do you mean? If they have been threatening violence, you could also go and have a chat with the police and see what they recommend.

However, your best bet is having a word with a solicitor or lawyer and finding out what your best plan of action is.

Hope it settles down soon!

someone telling lies? If u are a minor u are still entitled to all the rights of a person above 18. This means if someone is spreading lies about u they are "slandering" u, this is illegal. Can u avoid this person? Contact a local police station, see what they tell u. You cld also try filing for a restraining order. If that is ok'd by a judge, ur lafully bound to this contract as well as the other party, shd they come within boundaires of the written perimeters they are in contempt of the court orders.

Record what they say about you secretly and bring the recorder to a lawyer. If best, try not to sue because I heard that I takes up a lot of money and I think it is not worth it to sue for just a small little thing! You can ignore it, too for that I think is the best choice and you would not have to worry about it anymore. But if you cannot take it, then you have no choice.

Talk to a good lawyer.
Since laws are different in each country and I don't know where you are, this is the best advice I can give from a distance.

Ignore them and they will soon get fed up.

People always make up lies and nasty malicious gossip about people that they are jealous of.

If you have been threatened with violence, verbally , on email or by text, take it to the police. Tell them your fears. Do not let nasty people ruin your life.

Good luck x

It's slander, not libel and yes - if it's damaging you or your reputation you can sue them for slander. A friend of mine was successful in a case in the 80s when a business competitor of his was falsely alleging that he had Aids. He didn't and he won his case.

Good luck :-)
