i can not see any of the systems online fromo my normal PC turned server niether can i see my work group but other can see me and my computer.

os XP and every thing is fine i can ping i can copy folders into my shared docs from other computer but not at my computer

The first see if you can ping the other computers. In a command shell
type "ping x.x.x.x" (where x.x.x.x is the ip address of one of your computers). If you can't ping any of the other computers check the cables, network equipment and your network ip addresses.
