Nothing to worry about. This is such a bastardly money hungry
super competitive racket (and it IS a racket), anybody else
will gladly sign you up for it. Don't even bother to tell them about the last one or your history, they really don't give a s*it, all the want is that new contract which makes you a prisoner again, but
in a different cell (pun intended).
Try to stick with the pre-paid. You dont get everything you would like in a sign up contract, costs a bit more (just a little bit more)
in the ong run, but the again, you're not stuck in a bad marriage for the next two years.
All this, by the way, from personal experience.

I used to work for AT&T Wireless (now Cingular), so I know quite a bit about this. It all depends on how long you've owed the $800 balance. For instance, if it's been a while and tmobile reported that information to a credit agency, then the new provider will see that when they check your credit report. But if it's not on there yet and you have good credit, then you won't have to pay anything to the new provider. But if your credit is already bad to begin with, (even without the $800 balance showing on your report) the new provider will require you to pay a deposit before they give you service. The deposit amount depends on the provider, and also depends on how bad your credit may be. It usually varies anywhere from $150 to $500. But even if the provider does require a deposit for THEIR service, they won't make you pay off tmobile. That will just be your decision, based on whether or not you want that information to stay on your credit report. E-mail me at lisaw80631@yahoo.com if you have any other questions about it.

They could probably get another line, but that won't stop the creditors from seeking their money. The best bet is to pay the first account off before entering into a second agreement.

If you have just received the $800.00 bill and it has not had time to post on your credit report you will not have any problem getting another carrier but if it is on your report you will have to pay a hefty security deposit.

They will be able to but they will probably get in trouble with the government.
