Of course he would say it was great...imagine the salary he makes for doing a pretty ordinary job of the position he holds. They certainly seem to grow more and more financially motivated, taking the game away from those who next to the players contribute most, the fans. TV rights and the cost to watch games for some is atrocious. Many poorer nations contribute to the success of International football and the WC in particular and their increasing greed has made it incredibly difficult for them to view the event. Not nice.

Simple. Either Mr Blatter has 700 pounds to spend on a ticket, or he gets them for nothing.
But I must say, watching it on TV over the other side of the world, kit looks pretty good.
He did say a great tournament, not an affordable one.

700pounds per ticket? It IS a great tournament for him and FIFA. Not to mention the millions generated by live broadcasts worldwide, corporate sponsorships, liscensing fees et al. Hey it's the greatest tournament in the world with one of the worst refereeing ever.
