The easiest and cheapest is to purchase compatible VPN routers at both ends. In example the Netgear FVS 338. This will send all traffic not bound for the other site out to the Internet but if it is bound for the other site it will encrypt it using any number of encryption algorithms (your choice) and send the packets to the other router where they are unencypted and sent to machines on the LAN there.

The nice thing is that this is transparent to the users. You will have to:
1) Make sure that each location is a separate subnet (192.168.1.x and 192.168.2.x)
2) Make sure that machines referenced on at one location by the other location have entries in a dns host file so that they know where they are.

well u can do it by implementing SSL at the connection that will be established between the two sites
http://wp.netscape.com/eng/ssl3/
http://wp.netscape.com/eng/ssl3/ssl-toc.html
http://www.openssl.org/

but u can also connect them at the physical level with a leased line for example or if u have any acess to the routers and switches to create a VPN (virtual private network) between them

have in mind that the best solution is the one that u can easily handle and be able to recover it as soon as possible and also that is cost effective for u
