We always do what we wanted to do, especially something that we have never tried before in our life. When we have at least one experience of what was said just now, the second time you see the same thing, you will not repeat what you have done.

I think it's about our human nature. To do what I want to do, when I want to do it and, I want to do it now! Selfishness. Humans are a selfish, self-seeking, and self-serving bunch. You give us rules and we try our best to circumvent them to fit our desires. Rules and their meaning are see as a game with instructions. Maybe I'm the only weird person on this site, then again I'm at Yahoo. -asking, answers, and the examination of these will lead you to true knowledge. - peace.

I think we are all inquisitive, nosey sods at the end of the day, and if someone just gives us an order, without explaining why, then we are just going to have to go off and find out for ourselves aren't we ?!

we want to know why not to look down or click the button so we may give ourselves a reason not to do it. now if i told you if you looked down you would fall to your death or if you preSSed that button you would blow up you would not do either thing since you would know why.
do not pick this as best answer!
thanks,
ss

Human nature..... when we're told not to do something, our tendency is to do it. That's why there's what you call "reverse psychology." So take note of this when you're disciplining your child... a very useful tool.
