I don't remember Francis, but I do remember Mr. Ed. He reminds me of some of my male colts, sometimes Mr. Ed was ornery. That was a fun show!

I most definitely had to be Mr Ed. I thought he had a wonderful rapport with Wilbur. But I think Carol had to be awfully dense not to know what was going on.

The thing about Francis is that he would almost always eventually talk to someone besides Peter. Those were often the funniest scenes with people thinking they were going crazy. Mr. Ed would only talk to Wilbur in every episode so I think they lost an opportunity for some very funny plot lines there.
