Besan is used as a facial exfoliant, something that is very popular in India and Pakistan, by making a paste out of it by mixing it with water and sometimes plain yogurt as well.
Turmeric is currently used in the formulation of some sun screens. Turmeric paste is used by Indian women to keep them free of superfluous hair.
The Government of Thailand is funding a project to extract and isolate tetrahydrocurcuminoids (THC) from turmeric. THC are colorless compounds that might have antioxidant and skin lightening properties and might be used to treat skin inflammations, making these compounds useful in cosmetics formulations.

It is good, just try not to overdo the quantity of turmeric.two reasons:
1. If you buy it from the market, there's a good chance it might be adulterated and it could harm your skin.
2. You could be left with yellow skin if you use too much.
You can also add a few drops of lime juice to cleanse and freshen the skin.
