And tell me to 'get some meat on my ***' and 'to eat more' but if I told them to lose some weight off their *** and to eat less (which I would never dream of doing) I would be the bad guy, right?!

Why is it more 'acceptable' for fat to mock thin? It's just as bad isn't it?

i think they are just jealous...as long as you are eating healthy and do not have any eating disorder do not worry about what anyone else says.. i use to be real thin but i had anorexia then bulimia and that causes great health problems..i do not want to be fat and i think those who are mocking you are just jealous that they do not look like you.. honestly i really do... so the heck with them and ignore what they say..i really think it is more unheathy to be big and fat.. so just eat and exercise and be happy, do not let them bother you at all

I have a friend with a similar problem. (atleast it was a problem in high school, I haven't seen her in years). Anyway, she hadn't weighed more than 90 pounds since middle school and was the type who looked like a good breeze would blow her away.

I would tease because I was (and am) much larger than her, but I'd never tell her to fatten up. Other people would though. Teachers and some of her friend's parents all thought she was anarexic (sp?) and, despite her arguements to the contray, they never believed her.

If they actually watched her eat, though, they'd see that she was just skinny. She ate an entire pan of caramel cinnamin buns on day and still didn't gain any weight.

Anyway, let them talk. If it really gets to you, give them a hurt look and tell them you have a medical condition that keeps you from gaining weight and you are sensitive about it. Then walk away and look hurt so that they will think twice about talking like that in the future.

That's my two cents anyway. Hope it helped some at least :p

I never thought it was acceptable for the fat to mock the thin. My girlfriend is very skinny. It is in her metabolism. She eats burgers and steaks with no problem, and it goes right through her.

The reason why fat or chunky people probably mock you is because a good amount of people within the United States are very much overweight. When you are around so many people who are fat, then that starts to become something that is accepted.

How skinny are you exactly? Most people who are skinny are that way because of their metabolism.

I'm glad you say you would never do what they are doing to you. Why come down to their level. I think you should just say I'm happy with the way I am thanx - are you? then just walk away. Anyone who has to atttack others are nasty, insecure, insignificant people who don't have a nice personality. If they feel the need to insult you you must have made an impact, I would take it as a compliment that they felt the need to say anything to you at all. You are happy in your skin, they obviously are not. I don't think it is acceptable for anyone to mock anyone else.

Its bad to do either. Weight is sucha touchy issue among girls and eating disorders are a major cause for concern which is why I try not to comment on peoples size or weight.

I like the Avatar, a classic episode of Only Fools and Horses! It made me giggle just looking at the picture!

I don't geddit either! I think because it is easier to put weight on maybe. Also a big size may be an indication of an underlying problem, either physical or emotional so they could be regarded as more vulnerable(although I personally think that the vicm self perception culture does a goo deal of harm, but hey that's a whole different Q)

How SAD!!
There are just very insecure people in this world.
You need to ignore them, big girls get picked on as well by skinny girls.
In the end the bully is the one who loses because they are sad and needy.
Just hold your head up high ignore them,
My childhood I got picked on because I had breasts....since the age of 9 I started to develop and by 14 I was sporting full C cups. By 18 I was the evny of most girls. And all the girls that teased me now envy me.
So just ignore them, they are not real.

well guess they don't feel it is - hard for overweight people to understand this I think! but not so easy to put on weight if u a thin kinda person is it. guessing u are quite young - am sure if u eat well u will fill out in time and don't be worried by them - remind the fatties that thinner is fitter!

I totally agree... fat people always pick on thin people... even if they're "normal" (I dunno if you're a like bean pole or something - but it's ok). I know this girl with a TREMENDOUS chest, it's her trademark and she flaunts it (its huge!) yet then she goes around bugging everyone that's thin. I had dinner at my house one time and everyone's eating normally and she tells my normal friend that he looked anorexic...which I totally don't think was true but I think it made everyone uncomfortable because it was such a random comment. Actually she calls like everyone anorexic though, it's kinda annoying. I guess she's trying to feel better about herself.

Mocking is mocking any way you look at it. It is never nice and I can't stand people who do it. It is extremely insensitive. Some people just have such low self esteem the only way to cope is to try and drag others down with them, it's really sad.

its just as bad.

Nobody should be judged by their cover.

Anyone fat telling a slim person to eat is jealous of the slim person I would say. A slim person telling a fat person to eat less, is probably offended by their appearance, sweating, heavy breathing and concerned for their health.
