It always hurts in the beginning, but keep it up and some it will be fine. Try to do it often so there isn't as much hair coming out at once and using your epilator after a shower is always best.

You can apply some talcum powder but that will leave your skin dry after epilating. what you can do is pull your skin tightly with one hand while moving the epilator with the other like they do in beauty parlours while threading. I got a phillips one with an attachment to it that needs to be frozen in the freezer. Thats a very cumbersome process and you will have to decide on epilating in advance and plan for it.
Best thing to do is epilate before the hair grows back fully.

try dusting lightly with a fine talcum powder, after checking whether it will not affect the epilator.

dont use it! get some veet or nair. but hey that burns so you could always go back to shaving.....
