well i assume that as friends you know her favorites and what she likes. try to gave her something she craved for like her fave food, movie, music and alike. anything that she would love to have.

a 17 yr old girl? A large, cute stuffed animal ($30) and a box of chocolates (depending on the kind, Godiva small box $22). Maybe a nice $40 bottle of perfume (you can get Chanel #5 for $60). To tell you the truth, you can't get much of anything decent for less than $40+. I suggest going to somewhere like Marshall's or TJMaxx for the perfume. It's the same stuff they sell at Macy's for half the price, sometimes less.

How about a book on Yoga practice? She might engage in Yoga, probably you would too and It would benefit both of you!

if she has an ipod how about a gift card for itunes? Or a cd of a band or singer she really likes. If she like fast food you could always get her one of those reloadable gift cards from McDonalds

Well If she is 17 a nice gift would be a cute girly picture frame from a store like claire's with a picture of you and her!!! Totally cute and I bet it would look awesome in her room and she would love it!!

perfume...suss out what type of smell she likes. If it is citrus i would personally go for light blue by d&g...if its more sweet i would personally go for baby doll by yves saint laurent.
