It seems like mostly Indians have to take it?
Just curious.

CAT stands for Combined Aptitude Test
Its an exam conducted anually by the 6 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) and close to 150,000 students write the test every year. Only about 1500 students make it to the IIMs every year making this one of the toughest entrance exams to crack.

The exam mostly consists of limited-time, multiple choice questions in Grammar, Analytical and mathematical problems, Data Mining, Reading Comprehension etc

Since the IIMs are synonymous with quality education and a lucrative pay-package at the end of two years, most Indians aspire to get into the same.

Hope this helps.
