Friday the 13th and Halloween are both better than Nightmare on Elm Street!! The way I see it, Nightmare on Elm Street is just too fake.....as opposed to the other two, there really are some maniacs serial killers out there, even if they don't wear a hockey mask or halloween costume!! I had a question similar to yours and you can check out the answers I got if you want!

The first Friday the 13th scared the hell out of me when Jason came up out of that water; it was the first slasher film I'd seen at the time ( I was 16 ). I only watched A Nightmare on Elm Street in later years because I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan. Wasn't really impressed with the Halloween series after the first one, except for this one scene in one of them where this woman gets boiled alive in a hospital jacuzzi ... gave me nightmares!
The horror film in more recent years that had more impact on me was The Ring, and Ringu

I like the Halloween series more, because as you get further into the Friday the 13th movies, they get a little strange for just teen horror movies. But the Halloween series is awesome because Michael Myers is just....freaky...and it's halloween, so everyone's buzzed on candy anyway, so I don't blame him for having some fun and scraing the shizz out of people!

oh yeah. i love the friday the 13th films, i happen to have all of them. and the nightmare series too. i'm not much of a michael myers fan but i do love the halloween movies where jamie lee curtis starred, and the one with paul rudd. i haven't watched all of them though but i'd love to. the ones i love the most are George A. Romero's zombie films though. :)

My favorite Nightmare on Elm Street is part 5, the Dream Child. I know every line.
Little Girl: ... seven, eight, better stay awake. Nine, ten, he's back again.
Amanda Krueger: Your birth was a cure on the whole of humanity. I will not allow it to happen again. You brought me back to give you life, but now I must take yours.
Freddy Krueger: We'll see, **beep**, we'll just see.

I used to watch them when I was little. Pretty scary, if you ask me.
Halloween I don't like. Maybe H2O. Friday the 13th neither. I like to see the killer, you know what I mean.
Now, Freddy is something else. I used to watch him when I was little. Pretty scary if you ask me. I don't like the last move nor Freddy vs Jason. But you know what they say, Every town has its own Elm street...
