We use "azzurri" to name our national teams players (not only football), because of the colour they wear. Azzurro (singular of azzurri) was the royal family (Savoia) colour. It wasn't changed when the Italian Republic was born in 1946, because for too many years "azzurri" identified Italian national teams

Because I love the Italy Team so much, they can kick BUTT for the FIFA soccer.
