well if the monitor is a CRT rather than an LCD (flat panel) then you are putting two big electromagnets next to each other. they may interfere with each other and in the long term there is a small chance of physical damage.

If it's an LCD screen it should be okay.

Yes Obviously. all coiled or magnetic stuff should be kept away from monitor like woofers, amplifiers, and even UPS also it effects display and the life of picture tube falls at an enormous rate.put ur monitor and/or cpu on the desk and sound woofer/amplifiers/speakers/UPS downstairs to avoid damages. good luck

oh no keep them away from the monitor how much are you going to trust someone would you trust a car dealer you never done biz with and he tells you this car just came in yesterday as new? in reality it did come in new to the car lot , but what you do not know is the car could be second hand but look brand new and he could pawn it off on one as new and not let on about the con till to late.
and even if the speaker are shielded how good of a job does it do and for $300.00 mistake you want to take a risk?

I dont think it is safe. Woofer has a strong magnet and can effect ur screen and cpu

It's perfectly safe if your woofer is magnetically shielded. If not, try to move it away. Almost all designed woofer systems today are shielded, so not to worry.

probably but the magnets in ur speakers can affect em depending on size so its not the best to keep em close

keep far those from your moniter, if not the result of this , your moniter may lost its gama and color depth

Please try to keep urs speaker away from urs system.......... bcoz it contains magnets.......... and magnets should be away from electronic devices......... bcoz oersted law .......... says that when there is a magnetic field..... there is electric field also and vice versa....... that why it can disturb the system................ got it.......
