I've got the A-levels since that spring and want to visit England. To do this I need money.
So is it possible to work an an german teacher without any other training or schooling?

You could apply for positions as a language assistant through the British Coucil (www.britishcouncil.org) at English schools. They run well established teaching assistanship programmes all over the world as well as in the UK. I took part in a similar exchange as an English teaching assistant in Germany without any teaching qualifications. Good luck!

I don't mean to be fickle but when you talk of England I gather you mean the whole of the UK? There are other countries in the UK you know, E.G. Wales, Ireland and Scotland. If you do not have a degree + a teaching qualification then you don't have much a chance of teaching in a school. You also don't mention what subjects your A levels are in - not very clever that! You might try your luck as in interpreter or, as mentioned in a previous answer, you could try private tuition. Bear in mind though - teachers go through their training for a reason - teaching is not something that anyone can do just because they think they can!!!!

Yes of course you can. We desperately need people such as you to come over and break this country's tradition of only speaking English. (Even if only as a classroom assistant)

It's so annoying when you go abroad, and find the Brit's can't manage a word of anything else.

Another thought is trying to find a Business that needs language training / assitance as you find the basic School taught vocab isn't enough to make a business phone call. They rely on the fact most Germans will instantly switch to English if you ring them.

Good Luck!

You'd need a degree and teaching qualification to work in a school. You may, however, be able to privately tutor.

You'd be competing for business against university students so it might be tough!

On a private basis it is possible, but no school would employ you.
