Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will explain in detail how to determine when you are most likely to conceive. If you *do* need medical help, reading the book first will save you time, money, and discomfort in medical treatment.

RELAX!!! Do not think about this all the time.

Count from the first day of your period, and when you get to day 12 start to get "in the mood" if you know what I mean. You will be ovulating somewhere around day 14-18 and sperm can survive in your body for up to 4 days, so days 12 to 16 of your cycle are the best days to get romantic with your partner.

Whatever you do though, don't make it a big deal. The more relaxed you are, the more likely it is to happen.

Good luck.

I found the best thing to do is forget that you want to get pregnant. I know its hard but i truly believe that if you are always thinking about it your head is up your A**e!! so you really haven't got the power and determination.. Go on Holiday if you can and relax and forget about babies and big bumps and chill out. Have you been to the doctors? If not go just in case. I was trying for 9 months and every month when i had my period i used to cry and get really upset, i also used to use my husband just for his sperm which is bad!!! But then i decided bugger it have sex when i feel like it and not 4 times a day just to get pregnant(Yeah 4 times a day everyday) chill out don't even look at a baby and don't even think about getting pregnant. i went to Greece and came back to find i was 6 weeks pregnant. Good Luck xx xx

There are so many kits out there now that you can tell exactly when you are ovulating, try that. The main thing is to relax, I know so many women that had this problem and when they decided to adopt they all got pregnant. Make sure you use the missionary position for sex with a pillow under you so that the sperm doesn't run out of you. You will be ok, keep the faith.

My husband and I went through that also. We tried and tried and nothing. We finally went to the doctor, and she said I wasn't able to have children with out help. She put me on birth control for 3 months to see if that would help. Sure enough after the three months, I was pregnant with my lil Eyzic.
I'm not sure why it took birth control, but for whatever reason it worked, and that is how I have both of my boys. Maybe try that. If you do try is I wish you all the luck in the world. I remember how hard it was on us.
GOOD LUCK!!!

It's not just down to the woman, your chap needs to consider some things as well. Does he smoke? Doies he drink a lot? Both of these can lead to a lowering of male fertility. Taking an aspirin a day (provided it's OK for him to do so) can help his sperm motility (swimming ability), and Selenium, available from health-food shops, is reputed to help as well.

Good luck

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

VIJAY dear, have u both got checked urself. Some times it is the man not the woman, who is at fault. Get the sperm count and take the medical advice. One thing u must keep in mind while having sex for a child, just relax and don't be in hurry. BOTH spouses must talk and caress and just relax before actual penetration. And keep lying on the bed after sex.

I know this is a really stupid thing to say, but try not to worry about it. If you relax and let Nature take its course, you often find it happens on its own. If you are really worried, go and see your doctor and they can do some tests to make sure everything's normal, with both you and your partner. I am trying myself, in my 2nd month now. I wish you lots of luck and hope you get pregnant soon.

hi there,

after a year of trying dr's recomend looking into this further by seeing a gyno,

you need to get refred to a gyno sooner rather than later,

you will have lots of tests, blood test, tube tests, a scan of ovaries, and a sprem test.

then your gyno will tell you the problem might be pcos or whatever, they can treat this and you might be put on clomid or something simlar just to give your eggs a boost.

take care xx
