Being from New Braunfels,I would have to say the Guadalupe. Been there several times. Plus it is not in town until after you hit Gruene. If you want a nice long run, start as far up the Guadalupe as possible. Then float it all the way. Just a heads up, NB just passed a law banning beer bongs. Hope this helps. Have fun.

There are several outfitters up and down the river, I agree that the upper part of the river above Gruene is the best. Rockin R is located in Gruene (small town next to New Braunfels) and has a shuttle which will drop you off at your start point or pick you up when you get out and take you back.

For the most rapids, Guadalupe. The comal and the san marcos is the best for a relaxing one.

Guadalupe has more rapids and is a longer river ride but the Comal is (in my opinion) PERFECT!!!!!!!! Its peaceful and there is the Chute.
