If you grew up without your parents - not that they were having any problems, they just didn't care about you and your well being ~ do you have to confront them? They never supported you when you we young, you moved from place to place - growing with different people. At the age of sixteen one of them showed up (your mother), and asked that you visit her. After that, she never wanted you to go - she needed somebody to be a housekeeper but she did not tell you in those terms. She delayed your school progress, and when she sends you to school, she does not pay your school fees. When she come from work, she expect you to have finished cooking, even though you were at school yourself. To make matters worse, on Saturdays you must do all the washing including her's and your brother's, and you must make sure that your brother has eaten at the specified times.

What do you do? You are not a girl, you are not a woman an you are not used to this kind of situation - what do you do?

i think ur mother is not fit to be called a mother!the difficult part of ur childhood u have managed on ur own and u don't need her help anymore. u are big enough to take care of ur self. u put down ur feet and protest and ask for fair treatment.if that doesn't help then u can go to the police.becoz u are too young to walk out of the house and more than that there are lot of people to exploit u at this age.so be careful sweetheart.things will become alright.god bless you.

You weren't brought into this world to be anyone's slave-including your parents'.

First of all, this isn't a healthy environment for you or anyone in your family. Call child protective services and walk away. That'll be hard but you'll have a chance at a normal life. And don't call the police directly. They're not the proper agency and it's doubtful they'll do anything besides refer you to CPS which is the proper agency to take action here.

Tip of the day: "You are not a girl, you are not a woman an you are not used to this kind of situation", has nothing to do with the situation. It doesn't matter if you're male or female. You need to unlearn that stereotype in this day and age toot sweet.

Try to go and live with your grandmother or aunt.
Speak to your guidance teacher at school about a scholarship or help from the government for school fees, your education is very important so try and stick it out with your mother for the time being and finish school.

So this person doesn't have a permanent home? Foster homes can be 80% iffy. She should stay strong and excel in school so she can drive by her stupid mother in her awesome car on the way to her own medical practice.

That's really rough. But you don't have much longer, so maybe try to stick it out or try to move in with other family members...Or, you could just tell her how you feel about it and see if things change. You're not the mommy!
