Download SimPE, a Sims2 altering program. If you look in the Preferences section of SimPE, there's an option to turn it off. I've used it and it works easy. It supposedly works with the Nightlife expansion, but I don't know.
SimPE is also good for altering all kinds of stuff in Sims2, but you have to be super careful as you can mess things up too. But you shouldn't have a problem with changing the pixelate option.
