WOW. i caught an episode of Baseball tonight for the first time in a while. and i couldnt help notice how stupid and idiotic these commentators were. They showed clips from each team and these idiots not only couldnt keep up with the clips, but were mumblings back and forth to each other while the clips were being showed. I am not kidding you when i say that they just started talking about who knows what, mumbling like drunken idiots to each other, completley forgetting about the clips. Not only that, but they had nothing to say. 70% of the highlights went with less than 2 sentences. This is just pathetic. i hadnt watched ESPN for a while, but these new morons are running it down the drain? WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

I am not talking about people like Stuart Scott, who are great. But idiots like Oral Hershiver, and john kurk or something, (i couldnt understand what they were saying as they signed off stumbling on their own names.

I completely agree. I was so disappointed the last time I was forced to watch my team on ESPN. Both fools were rambling on about things that had nothing to do with either team or baseball for that matter and when they were talking about the teams actually playing, they got their information wrong. Plus, they kept repeating themselves over and over again. I think my IQ went down a bit that day...

Baseball Tonite is still a great show. Better than most stuff on TV. But some of the guys, the writers like Tim Kurkijan or Buster Onley who have never played baseball in their lives and say just dumb stuff make the show lesser than what it used to be. Also they don't need failed managers and failed GMs like Steve Phillips on the show. There is a reason they don't have jobs in baseball anymore. Cause they coaching or GMing and don't belong talking about baseball like they know the sport. They need to can those people immediately.

ESPN thinks the whole world wants to watch the Yankees, Mets or Red Sox...it should be called the East Coast Sports Programming Network.

YES!! The broadcasters are pathetic and ramble on and on about things that have NOTHING to do with the game or the players playing in it. The so called "color" men really detract from the game, including Joe Morgan who just NEVER shuts up. I win, though, because I mute the sound and enjoy the game. Who really needs the irritation of the broadcasters? Not I!!!!

I hope you agree.

I avoid ESPN like the plaque.

When I want real (not yankeeisms) baseball information I get from MLB.com or the Tigers website.

espn is just a puppet for the yankmes and deadsux.

ESPN went pop and really dumbed down everything. They really went down the toilet when they became affiliates with Walt Disney in the mid 90's. This goes for websites, radio and television programs.

Alot of informative websites(free) have been bought out buy ESPN only to be added to their insider(pay) service, only to be turned to trash.

Yes, ESPN's baseball analysis has jumped the shark long ago. They have people like John Kruk broadcasting, who is proud of his lack of knowledge in baseball statistics and analysis. Baseball Tonight in specific became a joke long ago.

Listening to the 'talking heads' does get quite tiresome in sports. Especially when it comes to the television media. That's why I prefer to get my information from newspapers or online sports sites. That way I can pick and choose who I wish to read based on my preferences.
