Might ba a chemical inballance in the tank. Check the ph levels.

no that is not funny actually I think the water needs to be changeed the oxgen in the water is getting used up and to get more air through his gills he has to swim faster but can't get that at times
hance the fast jerky movments

it could be a chemical inbalance...or maybe he is just bored, and has nothing else to do.

change some water now.... if you have any meds drop a little. if you have aquarium salt add it accordingly....
