Usually software after being downloading it ASKS if you want to restart your computer, but occasionally there will be software that will restart automatically. There is also the possibility that you have a virus.

When you download something do you open the file or save the file? If you open the file then the software just might do that for INSTALLING reason. If you save it to the file then it should not do that. I am sure it's VIRUS then again without checking your PC one cannot say for sure.
