the Borg are unique in the sense they have human emotions, although they are blocked by the cyborg technology,as for the daleks, they have no emotion unless physically transmitted by another being i.e.human,as per the newest installment of Dr.Who coming out on DVD 7/4/06,as previously played on the sci-fi channel.if you recall on 'star trek the next generation"the the Borg drone known as "Hughe"was disconnected from the Borg collective and started to show his human side ,as did Picard"Locutus"(The Episode The Best of Both Worlds part 1 &2) saved the Enterprise "from total annihalation when he was disconnected from the borg hive.By Cmdr.Riker and Lt.Worf.

I think the borg came first, and they would kick the dalek *** and assimilate them into the colllective, how do like it, exterminate my foot up in ya'. but it would be wierd to see a borg dalek, but wait I forget daleks are living beings inside robotic shells.
But if your talking about who came first the borg or the dalek, in matter of sciFi history then, the daleks came first, because they are living, and can create being like the borg

No, the Borge are a Rip off of the Cybermen.
No-ones original.
Doctor Who-The Daleks (The Mutants) 1963.
A time traveller, travels into the future and helps a peaceful race (the Thals) overthrow their hostile oppressors (the Daleks).
The Time Machine-HG Wells 1895,.
A time traveller, travels into the future and helps a peaceful race (the Eloi) overthrow their hostile oppressors (the Moorlocks).
Same thing, different colour.

nope ! The Borg are a rip off my television and remote control. The Daleks look different, more like huge dustbins, or post boxes, or even hoovers. Yes Daleks are rip offs of Hoovers, or else Doctor Who leaked some serious Dyson secret information on one of his time trips to a group of Borgs ? ?

No, but if you look at the cybermen, they try and assimilate people and add the technology to their own. So the borg are a copy of the cybermen

i love the Vogons, yet Dalek poetry isn't fairly as transferring. Now the Borg. . .good at math, undesirable at poetry. ok "Resistance is futile". . .good meter, yet the position is the rhyme?

I think you just illustrated the main difference. The Daleks weren't interested in conquest and domination. They just wanted to kill. Both were unpleasant.....but their underlying goals were different.
Borg: Join us or die.
Daleks: Die!
