So far I've had very good experiences with ebay. I've been able to find things that I can't find anywhere else. Everything has been in excellent condition. I got a VHS tape once that was broken. The lady gave me a complete refund and apologised for not knowing. I've been shopping with them for a couple years and believe that it is safe. Have fun and enjoy.

READ the description! Than you won't be disappointed. I use to get bidders all the time that just read the title and nothing else! How do you know what you're winning if you don't read, ti tells you if it's new or used, it's condition shipping costs size etc.

Most sellers work VERY hard at trying list every detail of the item in the auction, including how to pay as well.

It can be fun but don't get to carried away bidding on things you don't need or may not pay the seller for. EBay is not free to sellers and if you bid and win the fees go UP for the seller. MOST will be VERY angry if you don't pay for that reason because they will pay eBay more even if you don't pay them.

If bidding on big ticket items shop around make sure the deal on eBay is cheaper including shipping as it would be at another website or Amazon.com sometimes it isn't such a deal on ebay and an on-line store can provide you with no questions asked returns if anything were to happen to your item or if you change your mind.

ALWAYS check the shipping I saw some great priced items only to see they wanted 199.99 (the true cost of the item) in shipping charges! It's a way for them to avoid higher ebay fees, If the shipping cost more than the item is worth than it's not worth bidding.

have fun! and play nice!

The condition of the goods depends on the seller. The higher his rating is, the better quality of service you'll probably recieve. Ebay is perfectly safe to use - just don't go bidding/buying stuff claiming it'll get you a holiday for 2 for £2! A little trick many people do, is to wait until the end of an auction before bidding. You'll increase your chance of being the last bidder then. Also, try bidding a couple more pennies than your bid (eg - £1.02). This assures that if someones bid rounded to the same pound as yours, you'll win, because of the extra pennies!

ebay is awesome, but before you want to buy something do research on the product and if u find a good buy do research on the person selling the item, find out how many people had bad experiences with the seller and how many good experiences, usually anyone with a seller rationg of 98.00 or higher is a good person to buy from, also might want to set up a pay apl account at paypal.com makes buyin and sellin real easy but you need a debit card or credit card to start and its very cheap to join like only $1.00 a month or not even that. but ebay is awesome . when bidding wait till last minute to bid or else you will get out bid and lose.

As it is with anything, a lot of it is common sense, if it is too good to be true it usually is blah blah blah, however I have found that with eBay comes a partner called Pay Pal and I have found this to be of great use, I had a problem with a seller and reported it to eBay and Pay Pal and they both supported me the account was suspended until our dispute was resolved and this stopped the seller getting any payments, it was resolved within a day and I was totally satisfied, so If you see something you want to buy on eBay and it seems genuine (think carefully) go ahead because they are there to support you

I have gotten some very good deals. Check the sellers rating on the right side. Read the description carefully. Sometime the actual item isn't shown. Especially watch the shipping and handling prices. Some of them are in the country's currency and you can end up paying $40 shipping on a $3 item, especially from the far east.

I haven't been with them very long, but I have had real good experiences with them. I have bought 5 items now and have been satisfied with all but one product. It is always a good idea to view the sellers background and what feed backs that people have wrote about them.

Lots of good tips, the only other good one i can add is to make sure that they use a reliable delivery service and payment system (Paypal is the most popular right now)

I have been buying and selling stuff, mainly handbags at prices more affordable as compared to prices from the retail stores. Read the seller's feedbacks to be sure they are selling auth. stuff and their reliability.
