They're not as good as Mary Kay but they have a wider variety and they are cheaper.

I think avon has amazing products and I am currently a rep and I love everything we have. I do use a variety of other products as well and everyone has their own preference and opinions of the products they like. You just choose what works well for you and what you can afford. But if you are ever interested in trying avon email me or check out my webpage.

Avon is Nova spelled backwards. Think about it. They want to sell a product that backwards means the sun blowing up and frying us all. On the other hand, avon is a river in England(i think) that Shakespeare wrote about and is a lifeline for those who live around it. Read what you want into the name. Skin so soft is the best bug repellent around.

My grandmother and mother have used Avon products for years. I love Skin So Soft and it also doubles for a bug repellent. I have no idea why but it does. I also love the Foot Works line. I love the sloughing cream and the deep moisture cream. But I haven't used the makeup line since I was in high school.

I like Avon better than Mary Kay, Mary Kay stuff is just so rough on the skin, I prefer stuff like Aveda but Avon is better than Mary Kay in my opinion.

If I could afford $40 for a mascara, I'd probably think they were crummy.
But for the price, I think they're just fine.
I actually really like some of their costume jewelery. Some of it is quite nice for base metal and glass or crystal. But I only buy it on sale because the metals don't stay nice long enough to warrant a higher price.
HATE their scents, though.

AVON cosmetics tend to have very odd textures which make them difficult to use. For example, their eyeliners are nearly impossible to smudge.

avon products are awesome because they are animal friendly...as in NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS... unlike max factor & cover girl that perform cruel & unnecessary torture to animals for the sake of "beauty"....... but it is hard to choose the right color from a picture in the catolog.
