Exfoliate (loofah or body scrub), use a moisturizing shaving gel/cream (try a few till you find the one you like), moisturize (baby oil or an unscented body lotion) after you get out of the shower/bath. Also try shaving in the direction of the hair growth not against it. If bumps do appear use aloe vera gel and cortisone to treat. And don't shave over the area multiple times. And never use a dull razor.

Well there are a few different reasons you may be getting irritated. Infection of the hair follicles, Irritation , and ingrown hairs.

The best way to shave is to shave with a new or sharp razor and shaving cream for sensitive skin, shave in one direction to limit the irritation, and do not apply allot of pressure. After you get done clean off with water, and let it air dry. Drying it with a towel will only irritate your skin, and possibly clog your pores. After it dries use rubbing alcohol a couple of times a day until the irritation goes down.

And yes it will itch but the Alcohol helps, and if you continue to shave that will go away as well.

For you arms..make sure that you are using the correct razor. Not the cheapest one...Use shaving cream.

Now for that bikini area..I would suggest a hair remover from a beauty supply store.

Some stores do sell to the public like...Sally's
Follow the directions..and don''t leave on over time aloud.

This will be mature. Always use a clean razor, often it is bacteria left from prior use that leads to irritation. Personally I use a good brand hair conditioner for my bikini area and have never had bumps or other irritation. And I have coarse hair.

I agree with exfoliating before shaving..and for irritation you already have, Cortaid helps some.
