I have tried what feels like everything to fix this problem... i fixed the display resolution, checked direct x, turned off background applications, erasing unused info on my hard-drive... PLEASE give me some tips! I'm having the hardest time trying to fix this! Thanks!

You might want to try closing all of your background tasks. They can mess up your game by making your computer do too many things at once. Heres how. Hold down the "Ctrl" "alt" and "delete" buttons at the same time. A window should pop up that says "Windows Task Manager." If you have windows XP read on from here. If you have Windows 98 or ME scroll down a bit. Click on the tab that says "Processes." Now click on the heading that says "User Name." It'll sort all of the stuff by the user name. Select one of the things listed, but DO NOT select anything from the SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, or NETWORK SERVICE groups. Also DO NOT select the "explorer.exe", or "taskmgr.exe" items. After you have selected one, go down and click "end process." It may give you a warning message, just ignore it and click yes. Keep doing this until the "explorer.exe" and the "taskmgr.exe" are the only ones left in the list. Now for the ME and 98 versions. When you hit alt control delete the list should show all of your background tasks. Now select an item, but DO NOT select the "explorer" or "systray" items. Now click end task and the task will end. Keep doing that until only the "explorer" and "systray" items remain. Now, when you shut down or restart your computer the background tasks will appear again, so to get them back just restart your comp. This also means that you'll have to repeat this process every time you turn on your computer. You may also want to try getting the disc cleaned if it has a scratch

How frustrating for you. Sorry to say I don't have an answer for you but I had the same thing happen to me...did all the same things attempting to correct the problem. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Have you tried contacting EA games for technical help?

You might have a big scratch on your cd which will effect your whole game. Mine does that alot because of that scratch.

Get a new one (I suggest a console version and if you don't have a counsole, get one) or you just need a better computer, graphix card, etc.
